In our project, we will be parodying the parody that is Epic Meal Time. In this video we will be combining foods that don’t belong together that a typical college kid would eat. We will be basing the video on how a sterotypical college kid lives food wise. Incorporating all of the basic cheap foods and then mashing them all together like in the video.
We will start with the intro, then move to introducing all of the ridiculous ingredients. And then the part that everyone looks forward to in the Epic Meal Videos, the combination. We will combine all the ingredients in a manner using all the same shots and techniques that E.M.T uses. And in the end we will finish the video like they do.
In this excerpt from Monty Python’s flying Circus it is a fairly humerous sketch called the Argument Clinic. In this excerpt a man walks into this clinic looking to buy a argument. At first one can look at it and say there is no legitimate argument posed here. But after analyzing it for a while there is a very valid argument posed.
The argument is that some arguments are silly and shallow. This man walks into the clinic and gets straight into an argument after paying for his argument. There is no basis in the argument and no validity but these two british chaps seem to argue for over four minutes. They argue over if it is the right room, and about the basics of an argument and if the argument was over and all that nonsense.
With the sound off the video is confusing, there are multiple rooms that this silly man walks into and right before the argument room he gets yelled at in the Abuse room. Without sound you can look and just tell when he walks into the “argument room” that there is a argument going on between the two men. One man is losing his temper and the other is keeping a calm collective manner. The producer of the video zooms in and out and set in a common office, like the clinic it is supposed to be.
This argumentative video, as silly as it seems actually poses a great argument on how silly arguments can really be. How they can have no substance, but really make a good argument. And how people can argue about anything til the sun goes down.
Over the course of history, some things have become more and more widely known throughout the world. Whether it is food, sports, video games, or peace monuments. The worldly community has adapted to the US’s customs and everything they have made in the time span of the country.
One of these things that is taking the world by storm is the fast food chains. These main brand names of restraunts started out mainly in America, and while the states were critized for having the highest obesity rating at one time, the world has slowly adapted to the America way of living.
A good example of this is the spreading of McDonalds. Almost every country in the world has built one of these. The picture above is proof of this, Germany is one of the many countries that has built many mcdonalds in their main cities and even in small cities. Japan is the second most famous country besides America with McDonalds. They have the second highest rate of income for McDonalds per capita.
But not everything America has started there. Even though the democratic political system is taking over, we just didn’t get our signal of peace from here. Our world famous and recognizable signal of peace was actually from the country of France. So even though the world recognizes the statue of liberty as the symbol of peace for America, it actually didn’t originate in America, instead in France.
This game called Airport Security was no fun at all. I felt like i was in a high state of confusion during the whole time. At points I had to take clothing off of random people which doesn’t happen in real airport security. And take certain objects out of people’s carry on bags. My first question about this game is why are people taking snakes and conch shells in their carry on bags. It thoroughly confused me and i failed immediately. Games like this aren’t supposed to be fun, but more of a way to cause high blood pressure and heart failure. In the end, no this game wasnt fun, but more like a huge waste of time on my part.
On my topic, when i looked on tumblr, it was shockingly low on the amount of people talking about either the regulation of marijuana. When i went to wikipedia, it was shockingly different. When i clicked the link, a page came up devoted to only the bill that is passing in California. When i clicked on the link, I had a lot of more links that were available to me. I can expand on how it will effect the state, how they will regulate it, the amount of taxes that are going on it. Not only can i look at that, it shows me the amount of people in California who were in favor for the legilzation of weed, and how everyone feels about it. Not only does this page show me all the links, it helps to reinforce the fact by showing all the dates that the bill has gone through up to the present day.
My Research will be on the legalization of marijuana. In our society this is becoming a huge political issue. With many new politicians platforming for it. Contrary to the beliefs of many people, but this isn’t just hippies trying to legalize it, but more of a scientific super drug. Weed has become a huge topic in the capitol and in major medical facilities.
My research will come from political bigwigs. Who is for it and why, and on the other side why people are against the legalization of it. Another source I will use is medical journals. How Weed can be used to make people healthier and have less chances for cancer.
I do foresee some obstacles in the writing of this paper, mainly the fact that it will be hard to not be baised but use the research to lead my paper. Also another problem will be in finding sufficient research from enough credibile sources. From Different perspectives on the subject.
